Mobile Denture Service

Denture Care That Comes to Your Loved One

For residents who find it difficult, distressing or simply impossible to travel to a clinic, our mobile denture service brings assessment, repairs, relines and fittings to them — at their aged care facility or nursing home.

Can a denture clinic visit a nursing home?

Yes. Our mobile denture service regularly visits aged care facilities and nursing homes across the suburbs we cover, so a resident who can't travel to us doesn't have to. A team member comes to the facility to assess, repair, reline or fit dentures on site, using the same care and standards as an in-clinic visit.

What can be done during an on-site visit?

A mobile visit can cover most of the day-to-day denture care a resident needs, without leaving the facility:

Some more involved work may still need a visit to the clinic itself, depending on what's required. We'll tell the facility or family honestly if that's the case, rather than assume every job can be finished on site.

Information for aged care facility managers

How do we arrange a visit?

Call us or send an enquiry with the resident's name, the facility, and a general description of what's needed — a check-up, a repair, a reline, or a new denture. We'll talk it through with you, confirm whether we can reach your facility, and arrange a time that works around the facility's schedule.

What does the facility need to provide?

A reasonably quiet, well-lit space where the resident can sit comfortably for the visit, and access to the resident at the agreed time. If a resident's consent, guardianship or medical situation needs anything specific from us before we visit, let us know when you book and we'll work through it with you rather than assume.

How is this different from a clinic appointment?

The clinical care is the same — the difference is that we come to the resident instead of the resident coming to us. Straightforward repairs, relines and reviews are usually completed entirely on site; more involved treatment may still need time in our Bossley Park clinic, which we'll flag in advance if it applies.

Information for family members

My mother (or father) can't travel to a dentist. What can I do?

Call us and tell us about their situation. Our mobile service can visit them at home or at their aged care facility for a check, a reline or a repair, rather than asking someone who finds travel difficult to make the trip to us. It's usually a family member or facility staff who contacts us on the resident's behalf.

Do I need to be there for the appointment?

Not necessarily. Consent follows whatever process the facility already uses for other health visits — the resident's own consent where they're able to give it, or their existing arrangement (family member, guardian, or enduring power of attorney) where that's needed. If you're not sure what applies to your family member, ask the facility — they manage consent for all health visits, not just ours. You're welcome to attend if you'd like to, and we're always happy to talk you through what we found afterwards.

FAQ

Mobile service questions answered

How do we arrange a mobile visit for a resident in aged care?

Call us or send an enquiry with the resident's name, facility and what they need. We'll talk it through, confirm whether we can reach that facility, and arrange a time to visit. It's normally the facility or a family member who contacts us, not the resident directly.

Can a denture clinic visit a nursing home?

Yes. Our mobile denture service visits aged care facilities and nursing homes across the areas we cover, so a resident who finds it difficult or distressing to travel doesn't have to. A team member comes to the facility to assess, repair, reline or fit dentures on site.

My mother can't travel to a dentist — what can I do?

Call us and tell us about her situation. Our mobile denture service can visit her at home or at her aged care facility for a check, a reline or a repair, so she doesn't need to manage a trip to the clinic. It's usually arranged by a family member or facility staff on the resident's behalf.
